 Amritpal Singh: Ban on mobile internet, SMS service extended, Amritpal's uncle and driver surrender



  •  SSP Jalandhar Rural Swarnadeep Singh has confirmed the surrender of Amritpal Singh's uncle and driver.  On the other hand, three more FIRs have been registered on Sunday against Khalistan supporter Amritpal, accused of attack on Ajnala police station.


  •  Harjeet Singh, uncle of Amritpal Singh, chief of Waris Punjab De Sangathan, has surrendered in front of the Punjab Police.  This is the same person who stays with Amritpal all the time and used to drive his car all the time


  •  Amritpal Singh's driver has also been arrested.  His Mercedes car has also been seized by the police.  This entire operation has been done by the Jalandhar Police.  When Amritpal Singh was surrounded by the Punjab Police in Mahatpur, he too absconded with him.


 Internet shutdown till Tuesday afternoon

  •  Punjab Police's operation against radical Amritpal continues.  Meanwhile, in public interest, all mobile internet and SMS services (except banking and mobile recharge) in the territorial jurisdiction of Punjab have been suspended till 12 noon on March 21.  Voice call facility will be there.  At the same time, all dongle services will also remain closed.  The Home Affairs and Justice Department of Punjab has issued this order.  Internet service has been suspended in Punjab for the last two days.


 Three more FIRs on Amritpal, weapons recovered from the vehicle

  •  SSP Jalandhar Rural Swarnadeep Singh has confirmed the surrender of uncle and driver.  On the other hand, three more FIRs have been registered on Sunday against Khalistan supporter Amritpal, accused of attack on Ajnala police station.  Illegal weapons were found in his black Isuzu vehicle found in Salema village of Jalandhar.

 the operation went on all night

  •  The Punjab Police conducted an overnight operation to arrest Amritpal Singh.  Amritpal had changed his vehicle from village Salema near Mahitpur after escaping from Malsian.


  • After that, the police conducted a night-long search operation in nearby villages of Phillaur adjacent to Mahitpur, Nakodar and Shankar, Shahkot Malsian and Dharamkot in Moga. On Saturday night around 10 o'clock, the police got input that Amritpal Singh's brother was hiding in Sarin village.

 Haryana police on high alert after Punjab

  •  The Haryana Police has been put on high alert and security has been beefed up along the border with Punjab. Vehicles entering and leaving Punjab are being thoroughly checked.
